I have a confession to make, friends: I have an addiction.
I love fishing.
I go out as often as I can, for as long as I can. I’m pretty good at it, too. Here’s a biggun from my local lake outside of Baltimore from one of my last trips.
But even when I am fishing, my thoughts are never far from the markets. And as I was breaking down my rods and reels this weekend for a little end-of-season TLC, it came to me.
Fishing is a lot like playing the markets.
Stick With Me on This One…
How many times have you seen someone go fishing only to come home empty-handed and frustrated because they didn’t get a single bite?
How many of you have also dumped hard-earned cash into stocks only to watch that money disappear in a flash?
In simplistic terms, the keys to landing a nice fish to tell your buddies about at the bar are the same keys to finding stocks that pay instead of sink to the bottom
Let me explain.

A successful angler does an incredible amount of research well before they ever make the first cast. They study weather patterns, topographic maps, ecology, local hydrology, you name it.
Another thing they do is talk shop with other experts.
They then use this information to precisely target the species they know will bite given the current fishing conditions.
A successful market player does even more research. They pore over charts and earnings reports. They read studies, attend events and conferences, and much more. And they also talk to A LOT of other experts.
They use this information to target the exact types of stocks that should break out given the current market conditions.
Here’s the Kicker…
To do this amount of research (for either fishing or playing the market), you need time, and a lot of it.
Most folks already run around like headless chickens, trying to get all their “to-dos” done each day. Tell me when you have six hours to review shipping manifests, profit margins, going concerns, and the thousands of press releases that hit the wire each day.
This is why they say 10% of anglers catch 90% of the fish and why I say semi-flippantly that 10% of investors make 90% of the money in the markets.
It’s not that you can’t. It’s just that you don’t have the time to do research or have someone you can turn to who can give you the bullet points.
But here’s the good news — I do have that time and those contacts. And that’s what I’ll do for you, too.
I’m here to help you squeeze every last penny you can out of Wall Street.
I want you to love the feeling of winning on Wall Street. And we’ll do just that over the coming months and years.
